My Journey
Hi, my name is Tammy 👋🏽
Six years ago, I started sewing from my bedroom and I had no idea how much it would change my life. I couldn't find the type of patterns I wanted to sew, so started drafting my own. Little did I know, that I'd be able to one day turn sewing into my full-time career.
It was a huge learning curve and I made countless mistakes, but I've been able to build multiple online sewing businesses that have generated me six-figures. My pattern brand Tammy Handmade has been sewn and loved by thousands of sewists across the globe. I also work with global craft brands to create educational sewing content and have built a community of 210k!

Good question! The way you’ll be able to make money with sewing (even if you’re a beginner) is by learning how to create and sell sewing patterns. PDF sewing patterns are digital and require no physical stock, so you can make passive income selling these files while you sleep! Tammy will show you step-by-step how you can turn your love for sewing into a full-time income and ultimately achieve financial freedom.
Only the first module is dedicated to the basics of sewing, the pattern making tools you'll need and understanding fabrics to help complete beginners. If you already are confident in sewing and have even drafted a pattern or two before, this course is still aimed at you! There is in-depth tutorials on pattern making, Adobe software, grading, illustrating instructions, creating size charts, marketing, outsourcing, building multiple streams of income and so much more!
You might incorrectly think you need to have sewing experience in order for this course to work for you, but with everything that’s included in this course you can be a complete beginner! I purposefully made this as beginner-friendly as I could so whether you’re from any skill level, background or ability, you will have equal access to this course and the opportunity to make money with sewing. There’s even a bonus module that shares step-by-step how you can outsource the entire process!
In Module 1, I break down the sewing tools you’ll need to start making sewing patterns such as a sewing machine, paper, pencils and more. In order to make sewing patterns digitally, you will need the software Adobe Illustrator (but I teach you how to use this easily!). To make the instructions for the sewing pattern you can either use Canva for free or Adobe InDesign.
